Office Phone: (609) 267-2730 Ext. 102
Term Expires: 12/31/2026

Prior to being elected to the Hainesport Township Committee, Ken Montgomery has served Hainesport Township in several capacities since he moved here in 1996 with his wife, Mela. Before moving here, however, Montgomery served as president of a homeowner’s association, a lay reader for his church and was the defensive coordinator and coach for a youth football team in Haddonfield. Once moving to Hainesport, Ken coached soccer for over 12 years. He was a year-round coach for several teams for the Hainesport Soccer Club.  This was for both the co-ed recreation program and the girls travel program. He also served as the club’s liaison to the league. All of the players he has coached over the years are now adults.

Later, Ken became a trustee of the Hainesport Education Foundation and eventually became its vice president. Over the years, he enjoyed helping to provide technological advances and other benefits to the Hainesport School District.  This was especially rewarding as his four daughters, Mekayla, Mekenzie, Mekenna and Mekelsey attended kindergarten through 8th grade at the wonderful Hainesport School. They then went on to graduate from Rancocas Valley Regional High School before attending college.

Ken has also served our community as a director and the vice chair of the Rancocas Valley Education Foundation. Furthermore, he assisted the RV Girls Lacrosse Club as a team statistician and timekeeper and was an active booster for both the Girls soccer and lacrosse programs at our High School.

A graduate of John F. Kennedy Senior High School in Willingboro, NJ, Ken held the rare distinction of serving as both the president of the National Honor Society and the captain of the football team.  He went on to play football at Gettysburg College where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and was further awarded for his leadership capabilities.

Ken is a firm believer in the servant leadership model and remains active in his church and has served in various leadership, serving, teaching and director roles over the years. In the past, he has also served on the boards of other not-for-profit organizations as a director, treasurer and president.

Professionally, for over 20 years, Ken has been employed by large consulting firms in the professional services industry. He has worked with accounting, finance and technology executives in a variety of industries.

Ken is proud to be serving Hainesport - his home for over 20 years. He looks forward to continue working together with the committee, staff, professionals and its citizens to make the gem - that is Hainesport - shine even brighter.
