Public Hearing
PURPOSE: Hainesport Township is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Creek Turn Park located at 1404 Route 38 East in Hainesport.
PROJECT SCOPE: Hainesport Township proposes to create the following new facilities at Creek Turn Park: trails, canoe/kayak launch and landing area, observation platform, trail benches, green infrastructure, pollinator garden, outdoor education appurtenance and signage, designated portable restroom area; and to renovate the following facilities: parking lot; and to remove the following facilities: portions of remaining pottery building(s) and concrete parking lot. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found at: www.hainesporttownship.com.
PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 6:30pm.
