Good Samaritan Award

A Hainesport resident Zachary Lawrence, an 8th grader at Hainesport Middle School, who was honored last night by Mayor Frank Masciocchi, School Board Present Mike Morelli, Middle School Principle Tom Simonet and School Administrator Mike Blake at the Hainesport Township Meeting. He was presented with a Good Samaritan Award. Zachary learned that there were elementary school students who were walking to and from school for the first time. He voluntarily began walking with the students in an effort to keep them safe and calm the worries of their parents and continues to do this every day. As stated at the meeting by Mayor Masciocchi “Zachary exemplifies what it means to be a Good Samaritan. Hainesport Township and School District are fortunate to have such a fine young man in its community and school.”
