9-1-1 Program
|
Coordinator -
William Boettcher
Co-Coordinator - Edward Ruggiano |
 |
The
Township of Hainesport operates their 9-1-1 program in conjunction
with the Burlington County 9-1-1 program. This ensures that any and
all 9-1-1 programs and procedures comply with all applicable laws and
regulations of the State of New Jersey.
All new housing developments, prior to being constructed must submit
their proposed street name information to the township. This
information is then reviewed by the township and county 9-1-1
coordinators. Upon approval this information is then returned to the
applicant. This review avoids conflicts with neighboring communities
and also avoids any delays that would obstruct the emergency services
prompt response to an emergency situation. All
house numbers should be mounted on the front of the house and should
meet the following requirements: a minimum height of three inches for
residential properties and six inches minimum for commercial
properties. Commercial buildings that have a setback from the street
line of more than 50 feet or more will have numerals of a minimum
height of twelve inches.
All numerals must be mounted in a secure fashion to the front wall or
porch of the building so as to be clearly visible from the street.
These numbers must be sufficiently legible as to contrasting
background, arrangement, spacing and uniformity so as to be clearly
visible from the street.
If numbers affixed to the front of the building would not be visible
from the street, in addition to the numbers posted on the front of the
structure, an additional set of numbers upon a post, rod or other type
of substantial nature or a mailbox at or near the road frontage with
the same number affixed thereon and so located upon the same that the
number may be conspicuous and visible from the street upon which the
building fronts.
If
you should have any questions, concerns or comments about any 9-1-1
issues, please feel free to contact Mr. Boettcher at 609-267-2730
ext.103 or Mr. Ruggiano at 609-267-2730 ext. 115
Emergency Management
The
Hainesport Township Office of Emergency Management works constantly
with state, county and other local emergency management agencies. This
interaction ensures the utmost safety for the residents of Hainesport
Township. The Emergency Management office is staffed by a Coordinator
and a Deputy Coordinator who staff these positions on a part-time, as
needed basis.
The Emergency Management Coordinator is - William Boettcher III
The Deputy Emergency Management Coordinators are Edward Ruggiano
and William Challender
The local Office of Emergency Management plays a vital role during a
disaster or emergency situation that needs to have multiple resources
brought into mitigate the situation.
Disasters that the emergency management coordinators would play an
active role in their mitigation are natural and technological.
Natural - earthquakes, floods, hurricanes of any type that has
a significant impact on the community.
Technological - are events that occur by human omission or
errors.
Flash Floods are the number 1 weather related killer in the U.S.
and Hainesport Township is fortunate in not having this type of occurrence
on a normal basis. Most flash floods are caused by slow moving
thunderstorms, but due to Hainesport's Geographical make-up we are
fortunate not to have excessive build-up of water that could
contribute to flooding conditions.
The Emergency Management Coordinator and Deputy Emergency Management
coordinators each attend regular management coordinator meetings, along
with attending state mandated training to keep up on all the latest
information and new ways of handling situations effectively.
If you should have any questions, concerns about any Emergency
Management issues, please feel free to contact Mr. Boettcher or Mr. Ruggiano
or Mr. Challender at 609-267-2730 ext. 115.
If you should have any questions, concerns about any Emergency
Management issues on a county level or if you have any questions
about any county programs, please feel free to contact them at
609-261-3900 or via the county website at
