If you would like an email reminder for your quarterly taxes, please send an email request to sdeviney@hainesporttownship.com and we will send a notice a few weeks before the due date.
Use the following formula to calculate an estimation of property tax for a new home in Hainesport:
- Purchase Price x 53.59% = Estimated Assessment
- Estimated Assessment x Estimated Tax (Rate of 3.531/$100 of Assessed Value) = Amount of Tax Dollars to be Paid

The Finance Office accounts for, and controls all, Township revenue and expenditures. The CFO is responsible for the safety and inventory of all Township funds. Payroll and investments are also processed through this office.
Central to duties of the Finance Officer is to assist the Township Committee with the formation of the annual operating budget and to monitor the budget as approved to ensure that the fiscal plan of the Township is followed.
The Finance Office also functions as the Purchasing Department for the Township and processes over 1,000 purchase orders a year. All purchases made by Hainesport Township must go through a purchasing process including the approval by the Township Committee. Additionally, all expenditures must be certified by the CFO as to the availability of funds before the purchase can be made.
