We are pleased to announce that Hainesport Township has an Interlocal Service Agreement with our neighboring town of Westampton to act as our Department of Code Enforcement and Inspections. With the increased volume of construction within our township, we will have additional staff, as needed, to handle the workload and provide a "user-friendly" department. This will not only benefit our residents, but also builders and contractors as well.
Our department is responsible for the enforcement of New Jersey Uniform Construction Code, which mandates the requirements of permits and inspections.

The Zoning Officer is the first official with whom the typical property owner meets during the process of making an application for altering his/her property. It is the Zoning Officer who should receive the application so that a Zoning Permit can be issued. The Officer must inspect the property within the municipality for violations. If a violation does exist, the property owner would be given ample time to improve or correct the situation.

The Code Enforcement Officer will enforce any Ordinance Provisions of the Code of Hainesport Township so long as they do not interfere with the jurisdiction of another officer. This includes Hainesport's Property Maintenance Code.
